Dashboard

The daily read on one brand: six headline metrics, the visibility chart, rankings, and how to tell a measured zero from missing data.

On this pageThe six headline metrics

The Dashboard at /dashboard is the daily read on one brand. A strip of six headline figures sits across the top, the visibility chart and rankings sit under it, and the rest of the page breaks the same scans into models, prompts, citations and traffic.

Everything on the page describes the brand in the switcher, scoped by the market button and the Filters button in the bar. The bar also shows the date of the latest data.

Read the six figures, then follow whichever one moved. Hover or focus a figure for a one-line reading. Select it to open a drawer with the answers or rows behind it and a link to the page that goes deeper.

The six headline metrics

The strip is one row of six cells. Each figure opens its drawer.

MetricWhat it countsWindow
VisibilityHow prominently AI answers named you, weighted so higher-ranked mentions earn moreThe latest scan
MentionsAnswers that named your brand, in any place, from the latest scan of each dayThe last 7 days
RankYour place among the brands AI named, each brand once, ordered by visibilityThe latest scan
CitationsTimes AI cited a page, on any site, while answering your tracked promptsThe latest snapshot's window: the last 30 days, or all time on an older snapshot
AI trafficSessions from AI-referred visitors, read from Google AnalyticsThe last 7 days
ConversationsPages AI fetched from your site while someone chatted, read from server logsThe last 7 days

Citations counts every time AI cited a page, on any site, the same number as the Citations page; the cited pages and sources behind it are in its peek. The change figure beside a number says what it compares:

  • Visibility shows its change against the previous scan, named under the number ("vs yesterday" or "vs" a date). The change is coloured only when the move falls outside the brand's usual range.
  • AI traffic and Conversations show theirs beside the number, comparing the last 7 days with the 7 before. Mentions makes the same comparison in its peek and drawer.
  • Rank and Citations show no change figure.

AI traffic and Conversations need a connection before they show a number. Until then the cell shows a Connect GA4 or Connect crawlers button. A figure your plan does not include shows Not on your plan, as a link to upgrade where you can.

A client portal shows four cells (Visibility, Mentions, Rank and Citations).

Visibility over time

The chart on the left is headed Visibility over time. It plots your daily visibility score for the selected range.

The range control offers 7D and 30D. A new brand only sees 7D, and 30D turns on once the series covers thirty calendar days. Thirty days is the longest window on this page. For 90 days, 12 months, custom dates, or weekly, monthly and quarterly grouping, use Reports and exports.

Select a day on the chart to open the answers behind it. Small markers show when you shipped a piece of work from Actions; select one to open it.

Under the chart is a Models row with each AI's score on the latest scan. Select a score to open the Visibility drawer for that AI. An AI with no score of its own shows a dash. Brands with two or more markets also get a Markets tab here: hover a market to draw its line on the chart, and select it to switch the page to that market.

To compare with rivals, select competitors in the Rankings panel. Their lines join yours on the chart, up to six at a time.

Two messages are worth knowing. "No answer on the latest scan named" followed by your brand means the scan finished and found nothing, which is a real zero rather than missing data. "No scans for these tags yet" means the tagged prompts have not had a completed scan.

Rankings

The panel to the right of the chart is headed Rankings. It lists the brands AI names beside you, with your own row, ordered by visibility score. Each row shows its place, its score and its change. The foot reads "You: #" and your place out of the brands ranked.

Select a competitor to show its line on the chart, or select it again to hide it. Six is the limit; after that, selecting another does nothing until you hide one. Each row also has a menu with Show on the chart (or Hide from the chart), Compare with that competitor, and Manage competitors. Manage in the panel header opens the competitor list; both appear only if you can edit competitors. Select a score to open its drawer.

Market and filters

The bar carries two scope controls.

ControlWhat it does
Market button (a flag and the market's name)Scopes the whole page to that market. Its menu lists each market with its latest Visibility, plus Add a market and Manage markets
Earlier reportsIn the market menu for brands with history from before markets existed. It shows that older, unscoped history, not a combined market score
FiltersOpens your tags. Choose tags to scope rankings, the chart, top prompts and citations to prompts carrying them. Clear returns to the default view

Your choice of market follows you from page to page for this brand. Share links cannot keep tag filters yet, so clear the tags before you share a view.

The rows below the chart

RowWhat it shows
ActionsThis week's plan, a suggested fix and what is being measured, from Actions
Top promptsYour tracked prompts with scores per AI, with an Open in Prompts link
Site healthThe audit score and findings, with an Open in Optimize link
PerceptionHow AIs rate the brand on each topic, with an Open in Perception link
Citations, AI traffic, ConversationsThree cards carrying the recent detail behind the matching headline figures

The client portal is a trimmed version of the same page. It hides sharing, the Actions row, site health and the citations, traffic and conversations cards.

Share, download, and deeper views

Two buttons sit at the right of the bar.

Share opens a popover titled "Share the Dashboard", with a link to your Shared links. A paid plan can make a Live link that follows each scan as well as a Snapshot of the scope shown. A paid plan also gets a Download group with PDF, Image and CSV. PDF opens the browser print dialog, so choose "Save as PDF" there. Image saves the strip and the chart as a PNG for a slide. CSV is paid and exports your top-10 rank by day, AI and prompt for the last 90 days, whatever scope is on screen.

Reports opens a menu with Scan history, ready-made reports (What changed, Prompts, Models, Tags and Months), the reports your team saved, and New report. Each row opens its page.

States before the data arrives

A brand that has never completed a scan shows one of these instead of the dashboard.

What you seeWhat it meansWhat to do
First scan progress, such as "First scan running"The first scan is under wayNothing. You can leave the page and come back
"Your first report is on the way"The brand is set up and the first report is being preparedReview your prompts while you wait
"Add prompts to build your dashboard"The brand has no prompts, so there is nothing to scanAdd prompts
"No dashboard data yet", or "No scans in the last 30 days"Tracking is paused. Your prompts and setup are saved, and past scans are keptResume tracking, or ask the workspace owner to resume it

If something fails to load, the page says so where it happens: "The Dashboard didn't load" for the whole page, "This chart didn't load" or "Couldn't load rankings" for a section. Each has a Try again button and the rest of the page stays usable.

Zero and missing scores

A score of zero and a missing score need different next steps. Before reading either, check the brand, report date, model, market and filters on the page.

What you seeWhat it meansNext step
0 visibility with successful resultsThe measured answers earned no top-ten position points. Your brand may be absent or ranked below tenth.Open the prompt and inspect the ranked brands and cited sources.
No score, an empty value or a dashNo usable measurement for this slice. It is not evidence of absence.Check whether the report finished and whether this model or market has usable results.
First scan or a report in progressThe baseline is not ready.Follow the progress panel and any blocker it names.
Missing AI Traffic or ConversationsA connection or measurement may be missing.Check the analytics or crawler connection before assuming nobody visited.
Not measured on a page stageThe stage needs evidence or a connection before it can be judged.Open the page record and follow its explanation.

A provider or parser failure earns no position points and is left out of the visibility denominator. If every response in a slice failed, visibility is unavailable. If only some failed, a score can still show but rests on less evidence. Some older reports show zero for a slice with no successful responses, so check the model evidence before treating a historical zero as measured absence.

Presence counts usable answers that mention the brand. Failed requests are excluded, and collection coverage shows how many results were available. Average position only describes answers where the brand appeared. Metrics gives each formula.

Check one low score

  1. 1Open Prompts and choose a question that matters to a buyer.
  2. 2Open its detail page and read the per-model results. Look for successful rankings, errors or unavailable data.
  3. 3If successful rankings omit your brand, inspect the competing brands and sources. A mention below tenth still earns zero visibility points.
  4. 4If your brand appears under another spelling, check Settings → Brands, open your brand and look at Other names for your brand. Add only aliases that truly refer to you.
  5. 5Compare the same prompt, market and model across dates. Check when the prompt was added or edited and whether filters changed.

Compare like with like

A headline can describe the latest report while mentions, trends or change figures use a longer labelled window. Read the label next to each metric. A missing comparison can mean there is no earlier baseline; it does not mean nothing changed.

Changing the prompt set changes what you measure. Adding branded questions can raise the total without improving category discovery, so use tags to compare the same question group. Sentiment is separate again: a high position score does not mean a model describes you well. Perception covers that.

The public REST API, MCP responses and some integrations return 0 for an unavailable visibility score, so a zero there cannot tell absence from a missing measurement. Check the report in the app first. Your first API read covers the limit.

Common questions

Why can't I see 90 days on the chart?

The dashboard chart tops out at 30 days by design, and 30D stays off until the brand has thirty calendar days of history. Longer windows, custom date ranges, and weekly or quarterly grouping live on Reports.

Why is a competitor in the Rankings list but not on the chart?

The chart draws up to six competitor lines. A competitor joins the chart only when you select it, and once six are selected further selections do nothing until you hide one.

Why is the Visibility change grey?

The change figure is coloured only when the move falls outside the brand's usual range. A grey change is a move of a size that happens in normal running, so it is not a signal on its own.

What does a visibility of zero mean?

If the page says "No answer on the latest scan named" your brand, the scan finished and no AI named you on any tracked prompt. That is a measured result, not a failure. A scan that did not finish shows the first-scan or error states instead. Zero and missing scores explains how to tell the two apart.

Do the export buttons need a plan?

Downloads need a paid plan, and so do live share links and the CSV. The client portal has no sharing, and its download button lists only what the portal allows.
